The Belarusian government has managed the restructuring after the collapse of the Soviet Union well. There is a family welfare system in place, and those in need are not abandoned by the state. Freedom of religion also exists in Belarus. However, due to decades of communist influence, many people are still strongly atheist and reject the teachings of the Bible.
